Mediation

In the context of alternative conflict settlement, our clients show an increasing demand for mediation proceedings.

Lawyers Peić-Thiel, Leder-Kappert and Paul have been trained acc. to the guidelines of the Federal Working Group for Family Mediation (BAFM). They operate acc. to the principles of the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.

In addition, lawyers Paul and Peić-Thiel work as trainers and instructors for mediation. Christoph C. Paul is the chairman of the non-profit organization MiKK e.V. (Mediation for international conflicts concerning parents and children).

 

Mediation is offered in the following fields:

Our office offers mediation in the context of family law, e.g. in cases of separation and divorce, in the context of the law of succession, e.g. in cases of disputes about the inheritance, and in the context of company succession.

Mediation is also offered in the field of economy, in the context of freehold flat property communities and in cases of conflicts inside a company.

 

Mediation is offered in the following languages:

Christoph C. Paul has been honoured with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for the implementation of cross border mediation in conflicts involving parents and children.

2010 he was awarded the Sokrates-prize for mediation for his work as a long-standing mediator and as a “mediator of mediation” in institutional contexts.

Christoph Paul was a member of the panel of experts preparations of the legislative procedure for mediation of the Federal Ministry of Justice. He is a coauthor of the accompanying commentary of the law of mediation in the Nomos publishing house.

As needed we offer a co-mediation with a colleague of the psychosocial field.
